About Us

The Prodigal Alliance ministry has been consistently engaged in stirring spiritual renewal through – worship and kingdom teachings – to individuals in prison conditions throughout the UK. It is first and foremost a ministry of reconciliation.

The ministry owes its name to the biblical and foundational trues found; first in the 15th chapter (v1-32) of the book of Luke – in the willingness of the Father to spare nothing “for any one” soul to be saved and redeemed; and the subsequent invite, found in the 25th chapter (v31-40) of the book of Matthew – to any one of us to bring the message and experience of our salvation “to the one” – For the one, to the one.

The ministry is also an alliance – as everything that we do to reach out “the lost” is done through our association with and in support of a network of ally’s ministries, chaplaincies, and organisations joined by their common interest in seeing individuals being restored to their identity and inheritance of “sonship” in Christ Jesus. As per the African’s saying “It takes a village to raise a child” we firmly believe that it also takes both the prayers of the saints and the entire goodwill of the community to help restore an individual from any form of prison, addiction, dependency, homelessness …to societal contribution, and to becoming part of God’s redemptive storyline.

Our passion is therefore to see hearts being transformed through worship and intimacy with God, as a first restorative step toward rehabilitation, as well as to see radical lifestyles changes through faith-based teaching interventions.

Key Activities

  • Prison visit to support chaplaincy Church services (both UK & abroad)
  • Raise intercessory prayers for prisoners and family affected by prison (prayer lines)
  • Raise volunteers for outreach relief missions in the community (show the heart of Christ)
  • Equip & Train for Christ-like contribution to societal change
  • Offer a platform for anointed leaders to reach the found with their God-given gifts

Our Vision

The organisation’s vocation is to develop a God-fearing character and a purpose-driven personality in both prison residents and leavers alike – for them to walk in a greater level of freedom, responsibility, maturity, and to recover the fullness of their inheritance in Christ.

Our Mission

By the rolling out of faith-based and life skill acquisition interventions:

  • We aim to help prevent or reduce the rate of reoffending in the adult and juvenile population of men as well as women about to be released from their prison’s terms.

By the rolling out of partnership-based and social impact-driven programmes:

  • We are also aiming to assist prison leavers in becoming net contributors to society – by partnering with networks of churches, the communities, local government, and business’ stakeholders to sign-post recipients to meaningful earning opportunities.

Faith

Our not-for-profit is built on the redemptive message of Jesus Christ and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, offering a foundation of hope and renewal. Through faith-based mentoring, life skills programs, and spiritual guidance, we empower individuals to embrace a Christ-like character and walk in freedom, responsibility, and maturity.
